We're not your typical architecture firm. We're a group of folks who genuinely believe buildings should do more than just look good – they gotta work with the planet, not against it.

Our Story

Started back in 2012 right here in Vancouver, we kicked things off with a simple idea – what if architecture could actually help solve some of the environmental challenges we're facing? Sounds ambitious, sure, but somebody's gotta do it.

Over the years, we've worked on everything from single-family homes to massive urban developments. Each project taught us something new about balancing what clients need with what the environment can handle. It's been quite a ride, honestly.

What sets us apart? We're obsessed with the details that most people miss. How natural light moves through a space at different times of day. The way materials age and interact with BC's unique climate. How a building fits into its neighborhood without trying to steal the show.

We've learned that sustainable design isn't about checking boxes or following trends. It's about understanding how buildings breathe, how people actually use spaces, and finding that sweet spot where form meets function meets responsibility.

How We Approach Design

Every project starts with listening. We mean really listening – not just nodding while thinking about what we're gonna design.

Context Matters

We spend a lot of time just being in a place before we start sketching. What's the light like? How do people move through the area? What's the vibe of the neighborhood? You can't design something meaningful from an office tower.

Vancouver's got this incredible natural setting, and we think it'd be criminal to ignore that. Our designs try to enhance what's already there rather than fighting it.

Design Process

Materials Tell Stories

We're picky about materials – where they come from, how they're made, what happens to them after a building's life cycle. Local timber? That's our jam. Recycled steel? Love it. Concrete that'll last generations? Yeah, when it makes sense.

There's something satisfying about specifying materials that'll age gracefully instead of just falling apart in 15 years.
